Overview
I’m the only one working on SurplusQM, which required a complete catalog data revamp across roughly 600 products (several thousand including variants). Doing all of that by hand wasn’t feasible.
I hand-code these tools using React and Tailwind CSS, using AI to assist in development. Once I have the foundational code right, I use AI to iterate and extend functionality with minimal overhead.
Most tools run on a run-and-review basis. I kick off a batch job, work on something else, and review the output. The AI gets it right 99% of the time, and I catch the remaining 1% during review so no bad data ever reaches the live store.

Flagship Tool: Agentic Description Writer
Writing accurate product copy for historical military items takes time. It demands uniform research, precise specs, and consistent SEO formatting.
I built a multi-step agentic writing tool using the Gemini interactions API and Antigravity harness:
Research & Style Safeguards
The tool takes product specs, images, and user notes—pulling data from URLs, Epic Militaria, or Shopify. It runs live Google queries for historical context and applies strict safeguards to prevent generic AI fluff.
Direct Shopify Sync
It generates long descriptions, short bullet summaries, SEO metadata, and custom metafields—pushing data directly to Shopify. This turns descriptions around in 5–10 minutes and offloads ~90% of the manual listing process.
